The sitting magistrate remanded him until November 13,2024 when he will be brought back for further legal proceedings.

Court heard that investigations were still underway but was quick to add that the case will only come back for mention since it’s jurisdictions are in high court given the gravity of the matter.

Mwizera’s lawyer and Kampala Central MP, Hajj Muhamed Nsereko urged investigations to hurry with evidence saying they will bail at an appropriate time.

Hajji Mwizera was arrested recently after his now estranged wife Hajjat Nakisuyi accused him is defiling their daughter she came with inti Mwizera’s marriage.

The alleged girl ( names withheld) is below fourteen years of age and she claims Mwizera defiled her several times and threatened to harm her if she ever told any one.
Nakisuyi claims by the time the girl told her ordeal Mwizera was in South Sudan where he works from.

But in a separate interview before he was formerly charged, Mwizera and his relatives told media that Nakisuyi only couched her daughter to accuse Mwizera with her eyes looking at his property.

He said he has never defiled the minor.
However medical tests found that the girls varginity was long broken but investigations are yet to point out on who broke it.

Meanwhile the case has taken a new twist after activists stormed court to defend Mwizera.

The activists who filled court and out side accused Hajjat Zurah Nakisuyi a wife to Mwizera and mother of the alleged defiled minor of orchestrating this plot inorder to steal Mwizera’s property while he is in jail.

Nakisuyi had a rough day at Kajjansi court as activists insulted her but had police and additional protection from ” kanyamas”

” We ask court to closely monitor Nakisuyi statements because it appears as a lie . She is after Mwizera’s property” said an activist.

Initially Nakisuyi ‘s lawyer Mr Hakim Ngobi warned the general public from interfering with the court system to avoid prejudice and also warned those trespassing at Nakisuyi ‘s residence of impending arrests.
