How Kampala’ Tiktoker Drowned In Jinja Outing

THE search for a
Tiktoker who drowned in the River Nile on December 1, 2024 is going on but police is yet to find his body.
Issa Ssekamanya, who is confirmed dead with his body still underwater was among a group of friends who had traveled from Kampala for the leisure trip in Njeru Town council.
preliminary police reports indicates that the group was playing netball near the river when a ball was thrown toward Ssekamanya but landed in deeper waters and as he tried to retrieve it drowned.after friends attempt to save him.failed.
Confused of what to do next, they returned to Kampala in sombre mood and informed his family who also informed police and the search started the following day.
Ssezibwa Region Police Spokesperson, SP Hellen Butoto, confirmed that Ssekamanya’s body is still missing, and authorities are working to retrieve it from the river.
She also mentioned that police are investigating the incident and searching for one individual allegedly connected to it.
