In his Christmas message to the nation, Museveni expressed gratitude to God for preserving Ugandans throughout the year.

He encouraged unity and caution during end-of-year events such as music shows and prayer gatherings.

“I urge revelers and organizers of end-of-year music shows (bivulu), prayers, and other activities to remain vigilant and cooperate with security personnel and local leaders in your areas,” Museveni said.

He said “This will deny evildoers an opportunity to disrupt our celebrations.”

The message comes as Ugandans prepare for large gatherings common during the festive period, which often require heightened security measures.

The call for vigilance follows increased security alerts in various regions, with authorities intensifying efforts to mitigate potential threats.
