WHEN the sweet lover of Mr Joseph Ndamuwa, a security guard belonging to Detail Security Service fumed and demanded love flowers and full valentine’s day treatment, the poor guard lost sense and ended up robbing his boss at gun point.

Ndamuwa was arrested after a quick police chase and sh 70 m was recovered from the shs79 million he allegedly robbed from Mukadwe Hardware in Wampeewo,Kasangati along the Kampala-Gayaza road in Wakiso district.

According to police , the suspect said he robbed to please his lover who had put up pressure for valentine’s day treatment starting with a love flower when the suspect had no money.

“The suspect robbed the cash from his boss as he was preparing to bank it and fled the scene on a motorcycle,” Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire Monday told media .

It’s not known whether the balance had been sent to his alleged lover neither the level of truth in the love claims. The money was robbed from Ashiraf Katende the company accountant as he prepared to bank it with Standard Chartered Bank .

Police in Kasangati acted fast on receiving information and gave a hot pursuit to the suspect. intercepting him at Naalya Round about. Investigations are continuing.
