The leading opposition party , NUP has reported the missing of Mr Charles Bukenya Muvawala, UNAA Vice President, in Kampala Uganda
In an alarming message sent to s curity agencies, the American embassy and the general public , Thursday, they said
Bukenya Muvawala, the current Vice President of UNAA, went missing around 1 AM Uganda time in the Nakulabye area.
They alleged that given the recent surge in abductions in Uganda, this situation raises serious concerns within our community.
“We urgently appeal to law enforcement and security forces to inform Muvawala’s family of his whereabouts if he is in their custody or to investigate this matter” they said.
NUP”s statement signed by Dr. Daniel Kawuma
NUP Diaspora Team Leader added that
“we call upon the United States Embassy to actively investigate this potential case of a missing U.S. citizen in Uganda. If the Museveni government is holding Muvawala, we demand his immediate release*.
Recently UNAA which brings together Ugandans in North America organized a NUP diaspora meeting which was successful.
