The woman paid for the room and entered followed by a man presumed her lover. Moments later the woman was dead and the man had disappeared.
Police in Mbale City are investigating circumstances under which a 24-year-old woman was murdered in a guesthouse.
The victim was found dead in a lodge located along Soroti Highway, in Namakwekwe ward, Northern Division, on Sunday evening.
Investigations indicate that the woman checked into the guest house in the morning accompanied by an unidentified man.
Hours later, around 1pm, the lodge staff discovered her lifeless body in the room and immediately alerted police.
The body was retrieved and taken to Mbale City mortuary, police say investigations are underway, and efforts are being made to trace the deceased’s companion.
Authorities have yet to reveal the identity of the victim pending communication with her family.
It’s not clear if the man and the late has issued and the former chose to come and kill the later from.the guest house or any thing related to con , robbery and murder.
