New details about the murder which occurred in Mbale city lodge are shocking after it has been discovered that the victim was an under age and a student.
The Elgon regional police spokesman, Mr Roger Taitika confirmed to press that the victim was an S2 student of Nakaloke SS in Mbale.
The discoveries have set Mbale city division police swing into action to hunt for the man murderer.
The lifeless body of Binti Edrisa Namusi of about 15 years was discovered in room 11 of Grace guest house on Sunday after she alleged entered with a strange man.
It’s alleged that the girl who was originally thought to be a mature woman paid for the room and entered followed by a man presumed her lover.
Moments later the woman was dead and the man had disappeared.
The victim was found dead in a lodge located along Soroti Highway, in Namakwekwe ward, Northern Division, Sunday .
Investigations indicate that the woman checked into the guest house in the morning accompanied by an unidentified man.
Hours later, around 1pm, the lodge staff discovered her lifeless body in the room and immediately alerted police.
The body was retrieved and taken to Mbale City mortuary, police say investigations are underway, and efforts are being made to trace the deceased’s companion.
It’s further believed that the killer man convinced the girl into entering a lodge from where he defiled her and killed her.
It’s not known how the murder was commited as police was still conducting investigations.
A source from police said they were yet to find out whether the girl was strangled after sex or she died in the process or something.
But the killer man is said to have used the girls small handset to tell the victims relatives meaning he could be known to them.
The girl has been staying with her relatives in Dr Gesa cell in Namakwekwe ward.
Police was calling for anyone with information which can help arrest the suspect.
