Kiboga square mile Land Suspect Charged In Court After Presidential Directive To Afande Isoke

The move followed a directive after the president himself intervened and faulted Ainebyoona’s behavior . The president ordered Mr Mwanje back on the land and directed Afande Isoke to act immediately.

The State House Anti corruption unit working with the Uganda police and the office of the DPP , Thursday 27,2025 arraigned Ainebyoona Ronald before the Kiboga Chief Magistrates Court on charges of Forcible Entry, Malicious damage and Assault causing actual bodily harm.

The accused and others still at large on 14th March 2025 at Lwakonge village in Kiboga district siezed and violently evicted several occupants off the land comprised in Block 542, Plot 2 in Kiboga district.

The accused also destroyed plantations and assaulted some of the occupants on the land.

The dispute on the contested land is between a group of departed Asians who have a free hold title dating from 1932 and Mwanje Badru who got a mailo title in 1999.

Ainebyoona claims to be working on behalf of the departed Asians to evict Mwanje and other residents.

The arrest and court charges followed H.E the President’s directive to the Head of Unit, Brig Gen Henry Isoke, to investigate the criminal aspects of the matter, while other offices including Ministry of Lands, IGP and DPP ensure the law is upheld.

The president’s directive was after he himself intervened after Ainebyoona carried the law into his hands.

The president’ ordered Mr Mwanje back on his land to maintain the status quo as the law took it’s supposed course.

In court, Ainebyoona denied all the charges and was remanded till 14th April 2025.
