With fresh details, clued and retrieved images of the home CCTV cameras, security is advancing with the Investigations into the gruesome murder of the elderly couple which shocked the nation days ago.
According to a security
source they have got very important clues to start with and there is some lay of hope into getting the murder planners, sponsors and executors.
The murder is allegedly to have been come as a result of greed ,hate and unresolved property Wrangles.
The couple who lived abroad for a long time are said to have sold their residence there to come and settle in their home in Entebbe.
Sources said the Entebbe property which was inherited had some Wrangles related to family and succession and concern is that such could be another source of critical assessment as Investigations continue.
The couple had entertained a party on the eve of their demise and later in the night attackers can be seen from the footage jumping over fence, executing the crime and escaping via same route.
By last night details of the images of the cameras were still being scanned and additional details continuing to flow from reliable sources.
The full-scale investigation into the murder which formerly was entered as an aggravated robbery case happened at the residence of now deceased David Mutaaga 69 and his wife, deceased Deborah Frolence Mutaaga 62, in Lugonjo, Nakiwogo Cell, Kiwafu Ward, Division ‘A’, Entebbe Municipality.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango, earlier told media that officers from Entebbe Police Station responded to an emergency call and found the lifeless bodies the couple both bearing multiple stab wounds.
“The victims were found inside their home with deep stab wounds. Initial assessments suggest the attackers may used sharp objects and possibly gained access with the intent to rob,” SSP Onyango said in a statement issued Monday.
Police recorded statements from multiple witnesses at the scene, including the informant Ronald Golooba, a close family acquaintance; the housemaid Daphine Naudo, who is said to have discovered the bodies; and several neighbors who reported unusual movements and noises during the night.
