A health official who was recently arrested by Anti graft agencies has been charged in courts of law.
Tumusiime Julian, a secretary Health Department, Kyankwanzi District was charged before the Magistrates Court, Kyankwanzi on charges of Obtaining money by false pretence and demanding money by menaces.
Court heard that the accused with intent to defraud obtained money UGX5M from a victim who was seeking a job as a nurse in Kyankwanzi Local Govt by falsely promising to secure him the job.
Investigations have also revealed that Julian and others still at large have been extorting money from several job seekers in Kyankwanzi district. She has been remanded till 22nd July 2025.
