Securiry agencies led by theInternal Security organisations(ISO), SHACU and police have arrested three fraudsters who attempted to scam Pastor David Fredrick Isanga of Universal Apostles Fellowship Church of Righteousness based in Jinja
Addressing a press conference at the Unit offices today, the Deputy Head – SHACU indicated that three goon namely; Kintu Aggrey alias Werage Kenneth, Isiko Moses alias Isabirye Moses and Nuwagira Herman, falsely presented themselves to the Pastor claiming to be investigators from SH-ACU.
They lied to the pastor that he was under investigation for dealing in fake US dollars, and he needed to pay them 20 million so that the investigation against him could be closed.
He said that between September and October 2025, these fraudsters repeatedly summoned the pastor, who initially tasked a church elder Dr. Micheal Kyakula and lawyer, Isabirye Derrick to meet purported investigators who repeated their demands at a meeting held at Nommo Gallery in Nakasero.
The delegation met with the fraudsters at Nommo Gallery in Nakasero, where the suspects repeated their demands.
On October 7, 2025, the fraudsters sent a forged letter again summoning the pastor.
The summons required him to appear at the Anti-Corruption Unit’s offices at Kingdom Kampala Building for interrogation regarding a “Black Dollar scam” and fraudulent dealings with other scammers.
Fortunately, SH-ACU was tipped off by our sister agency, ISO. The pastor was advised to comply with the fake summons and proceeded to meet the fraudsters at Kingdom Kampala Building, where they repeated their demands and were arrested in the act.
During a search of the suspects’ belongings, a copy of the forged summons was recovered.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing with a view of prosecuting for; forgery, uttering false documents, and impersonation of public officials.
Mr. Ochwo thanked the Pastor and his team for their vigilance, which prevented them from becoming victims. He urged the public to remain cautious of such fraudsters and to report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities or contact SHACU on their toll-free line at 0800202500.
The church’s lawyer, Isabirye Derrick, expressed gratitude to SHACU for their swift response in arresting the suspects, who were attempting to defraud his client of approximately 130 million shillings..
