The Makindye Court Chief Magistrate, Sarah Basemera has remanded socialite Bryan Kirumira, aka Bryan White to Luzira over seven counts.
These include human sacrifice, and manslaughter of his alleged girlfriend Caroline Nalubwama at his residence at Salama Kyamula last month.
Bryan White was on Wednesday brought to the court in an ambulance from Mild May Hospital where he has been receiving treatment along Entebbe road and wheeled in the courtroom by prison guards and medical workers.
However Her Worship Basemera decided to read the charges to Bryan White in her chambers, blocking out media and only allowing the deceased’s father Tom Mutyaba inside the chambers, along with Prison wardens.
Last week, Bryan White’s wife, Daisy Nalunga and three others who include Daphine Abaho, Naava Nakato and Irene Joyce Nambalirwa were charged and remanded to luzira over charges of conspiracy to commit a felony, giving false information, possession of narcotic drugs and doing a rash and negligent act causing the death of Nalubwama.
25-year-old Caroline Nalubwama who was allegedly a girlfriend to Bryan White is said to have died at the socialites residence in Kyamula, Makindye Division under unclear circumstances on October 22nd.
According to prosecution, on October 22, 2025, at Kyamula Zone in Makindye Division, Bryan White killed Carol Nalubwama for the purpose of performing or furthering witchcraft, ritual, or other unlawful purposes, contrary to the Prevention and Prohibition of Human Sacrifice Act.
She was rushed to Kiruddu Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
In a separate count, Kirumira is accused of manslaughter, with the state alleging that between October 22 and 27, 2025, he unlawfully caused the death of Nalubwama by burning her and later transferring her to Kiruddu Hospital, where she succumbed to the injuries.
Bryan White and his co accused will appear before the court on December 18, 2025, when the case will come up for formal reading of the charges.
