KAMULI DISTRICT OFFICOALS CHARGED OVER 600M EMBLEZZLEMENT

The AntiGraft agencies headed by SHACU , Uganda police and office of the DPP yesterday afternoon arraigned two Kamuli District officials ,Mukiibi Nasser the Chief Administrative Officer and
Kifuuse Alex, the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) before the Anti-Corruption Court on various charges of Abuse of office and Causing financial loss.
It was alleged that between May and June 2025, the accused while employed by Kamuli District Local Government as Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Finance Officer, together with another still at large, in abuse of the authority of their respective offices, did an arbitrary act prejudicial to the interests of their employer by emblezzling over UGX 600M through irregularly processing and approving payments to different suppliers.
The suppliers included Raven Knights Ltd, Total Uganda Limited and Mufumba Daniel, the district engineer for supplies such as fuel, construction materials, diversion and traffic control signs, allowances among items for rehabilitation works on the Nawanyago-Kisozi Road.
The said activities which were meant to be carried out in the F/Y 2024/2025 were not done yet the entire money was spent.
They denied the charges and were remanded until 20/01/2026.
