A total of One hundred and thirty Members of the new Parliament are swearing in today at an event that will take four days.
In total the new parliament will include 529 MPs including directly elected and interest groups.
Acting Parliament sspokesperson, Helen Kaweesi has said that the swearing-in ceremony will take place at Parliament’s South Wing parking lot from 8am to 1:30pm and the last session from 2pm to 6:30pm, with each MP taking six minutes.
Ms Ababiku Jesca, the Adjumani District Woman MP will be first to take her oath while MP Peter Mugema of Iganga Municipality is expected to be the last today.
