Kasese. Bilateral talks are underway between President Museveni and his DRC counterpart Felix Tshisekedi Pictured above) at the Western Boarder of Mpondwe in Kasese District.
The two leaders have commissioned a bridge at the boarder of Mpondwe connecting their countries. Later on they will commission a road project that will run from Uganda to DRC.
“Instead of building walls, it is better to build bridges. This initiative is a good one. I am at your complete exposure for us to go and inaugurate the project,” President Tshisekedi said
He arrived at Mpondwe four hours later than his Ugandan host Museveni who sat patiently in a white tent.
