Gen. Mbadi appointed CDF, Lt. Gen. Kainerugaba becomes CLF

The Commander in chief Gen. Yoweri Museveni has promoted Lt. Gen Wilson Mbadi to the rank of General and appointed him as Commander Defense Forces in a reshuffle where the first son Lt. Muhozi Kainerugaba has been appointed to become Commander Land Forces (CLF).

Lt Gen Kainerugaba has been moved from the command of Special Forces Command (SFC). Maj Gen Sam Okiding will be his deputy CLF.

Mbadi who has formerly served as the Deputy Chief of the Defense Forces a position which has now been occupied by Lt. Gen Peter Elwelu.

Maj. Gen Leopold Eric Kyanda moves from the position of UPDF Chief of Staff for Land Forces to now Joint Chief of Staff.  Lt Gen Joseph Musanyufu moves from the UPDF Joint Chief of Staff to the military Civil Service.

Brig Gen Bob Ogik becomes Chief of Staff, Land Forces; Brig Daniel Kakono is new commander Field Artillery Division and Brig Peter Chandia is the acting Commander SFC.

Lt Gen Charles Angina has been moved from Operation Wealth creation to the ministry of Foreign Affairs with no specific deployment. Maj Gen. Sam Kavuma has been posted to Operation Wealth Creation.

Maj Gen Kasura Kyomukama is deployed in the Civil service while Brig Gen Charles Kisembo is the commandant Kyankwanzi Political School.
