KAMPALA-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: The Director of Budget in the ministry of finance, Keneth Mugambe is on leave in pursuit of a PHD.
Mugambe, is said to have taken a three month sabbatical leave to pursue a PhD in economics in a South African University.
It had earlier been reported Mugambe was forced out but his aides denied the claim. The aide also denied claims Mugambe had been facing investigations over huge wealth.
In a maiden speech, newly appointed secretary to the treasury Ramathan Ggoobi pledged he would realign operations within the Ministry of finance.
