President Museveni spends Shs. 9.16bn on Rwandan, Tanzanian Schools.

KAMPALA-UGANDA/NEWSDAY:The latest commissioning of a Primary School build by President Museveni in Tanzania on Monday, adds to a list of others where he has spent Ugandan money in foreign countries yet his own schools are ailing.

Mr. Museveni as part of his three day visit to Tanzania, commissioned a Shs 5.6 billion primary school he constructed in that country, causing uproar back home.

He had pledged a primary school construction while in a meeting in Tanzania in a meeting with the late Tanzanian President, John Pombe Magufuli.

The school, named Museveni Nursery and Primary School sits on 11.4 Acres of land and comprises an administration block, sixteen classrooms, two staff rooms, a resource centre, dining hall, kitchen, and two Kindergarten classrooms.

The current Tanzanian President, Samia Suluhu Hassan thanked Museveni for investing over Shs. 5.6 billion shs in Tanzania, and said, “it is not an easy feat”.

But the National Unity Platform President Bobi Wine in a facebook post said “Somewhere in Tanzania, dictator Museveni is busy opening schools. Meanwhile, he keeps closed those of his own country’s children back home”.

Other Ugandans also criticised Museveni as a “show off man” who leads a country with a poor education infrastructure yet he is out there spending Uganda’s money.

Museveni has also reportedly another Shs1.7b for two other in Muleba district located in Geita region. These are located in Nyaligamba, Muhutwe, Kamachumi and at Nyamiyaga Murongo

In 2015, President Museveni donated Shs700m towards the construction of a school.
in Rwanda.

In July 2017 Museveni Museveni donated Shs780m to Nalukunga Primary School also in Rwanda.
