KAMPALA-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: Buganda Road grade One magistrate has granted bail to ailing Kawempe North MP Mohammad Ssegirinya.

Ssegirinya is battling charges of incitement to violence at Buganda Road court while last week he and Makindye West MP Allan Ssewanyana were committed to the High court over capital offences including murder, terrorism. It was not immediately clear Ssegirinya would be allowed out of his Luzira Prison confinement that earlier on he was rearrested with Ssewanyana after a bail had been granted.

Prosecution in the incitement to violence case, say that Ssegirinya posted on his Facebook fans page a massage allegedly calculated to incite the public against a section or group of Ugandan population while relating it to the 1994 Rwanda genocide.

Earlier on Thursday during a video court session presided over by grade one Magistrate Doreen Olga Karungi, the Ssegirinya was ordered to pay Shs1 million cash while his two sureties were each bonded Shs10 million not cash.
