KAMPALA-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: The woman police officer who initially investigated the aggraveted robbery case slapped on Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga’s chief guards and two others told court that the accused nearly killed their victim, an innocent church member.
Miss Amuko Priscar Flavia attached to CID headquarters and State House Anti Corruption Unit said when she first met the victim in Mulago hospital in June 2018, she feared he was going to die.
” My Lord my boss at Wandegeya told me to rush to Mulago because Mr Sam Mukula had been gravely injured by Israel Wasswa and group after robbing him. ” Amuko 31 told court on Monday.
The police officer who has been in service for the last seven years narrated how Mukula was lifted by Wasswa and others and thrown over a wall fence in addition to beating him up and breaking his right hand.
She was the third witnesses in the on going case of agraveted robbery at Kampala high court before his Lordship Justice Isaac Muwata.
Prosecution alleges that the case was committed by the head of security at Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga’s Bwaise based church and three others , Ojulongo Ali alias Peter a guard , Al Wanyama Santana Ivan an ursher and Mwanda Godfrey alias Kefa a chapati maker at the church.
She narrated how the accused assaulted and robbed him dry after a small disagreement with the ursher who started by acosting him for eating porridge when the lead pastor Ssenyonga was about to start preaching.
The first witness Mr Oligo Micheal a medical officer had previously taken court through how they tried saving Mukula’s damaged organs from Kaleerwe medical clinic until he was transferred to Mulago national referral hospital.
A friend of the victim Mr Alex Tusiime who was the second witness described the whole thing as being bloody and regretable to people who claim to be close to a pastor.
The officer also described details of the Uganda shillings 500,000/ stollen from victim saying one hundred was in five thousand paper notes while the balance was in fifity paper notes according to Mukula’s employer who paid him that evening. Case to resume Thursday.
