Police in Matugga have arrested four people suspected murdering a woman in Matugga trading center on Thursday night.

The four suspects identified as David Kizito, Walusimbi William, Katamba Ken and Atim Ronald are believed to have unlawfully killed Jessica Nansubuga, a 38-year old business woman in Matugga Mabanda town of Nansana Municipality in Wakiso District.

Her body was recovered in an abandoned house a few meters from her home by the area residents led by John Lubwama, the chairperson who alerted police about a dead body today at around midday.
The body was found with cuts on the head, arms and other parts of the body. Police detectives from Matugga police station who visited the scene have conveyed the body to the city mortuary at Mulago Hospital for postmortem.

However, Police’s preliminary findings shows that the victim killers first ambushed her outside the house where she was hijacked and later killed a few meters from the home over yet to be known reasons.

One of the deceased’s sons identified as Sseguya Ronald said their mother called them to open for her, however, Ronald opened the door while sleepy and went back into the room thinking that the mother was still outside and she would enter.

“I opened for her but went back into my room; I thought mummy was still outside maybe in the toilet until morning,” Sseguya told police officers. “We have only found the door open, only to see many people outside crying that our mother was found dead.”
