Three of the pastors who signed a petition against Pr. Jackson Ssenyonga and reported the Christian Life Church boss to police have been arrested and charged with defamation.

The trio include Pastor Julius Kulaba, Pastor Ndifuna Ezekiel and Pr Robert Nsereko have all been arrested.

Pr Kulaba of Nazareth Christian Church in Nakyaka village Kamuli district is said to have been abducted by pastor Ssenyonga’s goons headed by one Simon Nsubuga and Israel Wasswa.

It’s alleged Wasswa and others driving private saloon Probox cars among which is UBH 601Y also abducted Pr Kulaba from Kamuli on Sunday evening. The same group together with gun welding men posing as policemen had on Thursday last week again abducted Pr Robert Nsereko, Pastor Ndifuna and members of the press from Butaleja district.

Pastor Moses Akampulira from Luweero said Ssenyonga is calling him constantly threatening him.

“Ssenyonga has called me several times threatening to harm me if I don’t back down on our cause”, said Akampulira.

We reported on Monday that a group of pastors had reported Pr Ssenyonga to police on file number GEF14/2021 accusing him of dishonesty. They allege that Ssenyonga pocketed millions of Shillings donated to them by president Museveni.

They also accuse Ssenyonga of mobilising money from pastors saying he was going to help them get the operation wealth creation (OWEC) pineapple juice squeezing and   packing machines which they have never got.

They also claim that he also collected money from pastors country wide to help them construct iron roofed churches as opposed to those thatched with papyruses which he said were demeaning to God.

This comes at a time when another powerful pastor Siraje Ssemanda is facing charges of conning unsuspecting pastors well over three  billions . Ssemanda and his group which include pastor Mondo Mugisha, Maggie Kayima alias Nabbi omukazi, Catherine  Kusasira and Uncle Kisanja are now battling charges related to obtaining money by false pretense among other cases.
