Kabale. Retired Church of Uganda archbishop Stanley has been ordered to pay Shs. 30m for sexual offences that resulted into a child with a church married woman.

In a letter to Archbishop Ntagali written on behalf of the owner of the wife, Rev. Tugumehabwe Christopher his advocates of Bikangiso & CO., dated April 26, 2021 Ntagali was ordered to make the payment in 14 days.

“Pay a sum of Shs. 500.000 (and) Shs. 30m as costs incurred and formally apologise. Should you fail to comply with the above demands we will drag you to court at your own cost, peril and embarrassment,” a letter from the Lawyers reads.

Ntagali is being accused of “your unbecoming sinful and unlawful conduct have occasioned to our client, general damages to loss of dignity, marriage breakdown, stress, trauma, embarrassment, loss of privacy, loss of job as lecturer at Bishop Barham university.”

 Ntagali is also accused of that during his extra marital affair with Ms Judith Tukamuhabwa he had a baby with her. Judith is and her husband Rev.  Tugumehabwe married on December 15, 2018. But the lady petitioned for divorce on December 8, 2020 in cause No. 5/2020 at Kabale Chief Magistrate’s court where she is alleging a cruel marriage.

“It has come to our client’s knowledge that you were committing adultery with our client’s wife and that she bears your own children who was borne in their marriage.

During a service at All Saints cathedral, Nakasero last week Ntagali apologized for his actions and said “the devil is a liar”

“We have learnt that you admitted to having committed an offence of adultery with our client’s wife. We have audio and video evidence to confirm the same.
