Ethics Minister issues directives to Ssematimba over housemaid child

State minister for Ethics and Integrity Ms. Akello Rose, has ordered former Busiro South MP Peter Ssematimba to return the ten year old girl he sired from his housemaid to her mother.

Minister Akello sent the directive on Thursday afternoon on her second day in office.

“The child is still a minor and she must be under the care of her mother. Ssematimba should look after her while she stays with the mother,” Akello said.

Ssematimba and his former housemaid, Joan Namatovu aged 32 are in a bitter row over their child protection rights. Ssematimba went to courting seeking it grants him legal custody rights of the child but her mother
