MAYUGE-UGANDA/ NEWSDAY: At least forty people have been arrested in Mayuge district for failure to wear face masks.
Police Commander Christopher Ssendijja along UPDF personnel laid an operation in different parts of Mayuge district and arrested whoever was found with no mask. Drunkards who could not run away were the main victims.
The arrested people were however pardoned and taught on the importance of wearing a face mask and other Standard Operating Procedures but were warned not to repeat the same mistakes.
The operation affected areas of Mayuge Town Council, Musita, Baitambogwe and Magamaga Town Council.
