Guinea: There will an indefinite cafew in Guinea after Soldiers who seized power on Sunday ordered it.

The soldiers summoned government ministers and other leaders to attend a meeting on Monday. Col Mamady Doumbouya told ministers who served in Mr Condé’s government that there would be no witch-hunt against former officials.

Many ministers attended after a warning anybody who failed to attend will be regarded a rebel.

The special forces soldiers who captured power said a TV broadcast regional governors had been replaced by military commanders.

 The soldiers also said President, Alpha Condé had been placed in detention.

An indefinite nationwide curfew is in force. 

The United Nations and African Union condemned the coup.

The head of Special Forces, Colonel Mamady Doumbouya, said his soldiers had seized power because they want to end rampant corruption and mismanagement.
