KAPCHORWA-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: The Chief magistrate of Kapchorwa court, Godfrey Teko, who was dragged by police on Sunday says his word are a political witch-hunt orchestrated by his own relative.

Tego, a Son of state minister for minerals Peter Lokeris was arrested for drawing a gun at one of the people he had a brawl with from a bar in Kapchorwa.

Initial information indicated Tego had accumulated beer a bill and that when asked to pay, he opted for a gun which he allegedly pointed at a bar girl.

But in his press conference on Monday, he denied drawing a pistol at anyone neither did he make mention of a bar.

“I never drew a gun at anybody. This is malice to tarnish my name so I can be removed.” Tego said.

He said Sunday’s incident was the third attack by a person he said was his relative. He did not name the individual.

Tego insisted that the row comes because he worked hard to ensure his father Lokeris regained his Parliament seat. He alleged that the relative wants to ensure that ” I loses my Judiciary job.”

In videos posted by Newsday, the magistrate is seen rrested and detained at Moroto Central Police station after getting into a misunderstanding with one Mathew Lorika after a heated argument at Mount Moroto Hotel where they were having drinks on Sunday.
