Blogger Isma Olaxess aka Ichuli remanded over defaming singer OS

Kampala-Uganda/Newsday: Blogger Ibrahim Tusubira commonly known as Isma Olaxess, who is also the chairperson of Uganda Bloggers Association, has been remanded.

He has been on the run on offences of offensive communication and criminal libel.

Olaxess has today been arrested and arraigned in court. He now joins three television presenters working for Next Media including Isaac Kawalya Ssemulondo alias Kays, Bryan Kennedy Waako and Williams Makuliro.

They are accused of repeated attacks against artiste Emmanual Ssuuna who goes by stage name OS on television.

The accused are said to have committed the crime on August 27, 2021 while at Sanyuka Television as they demeaned his family, his financial status and accused him of being tormented by evil spirits.

Kays, Waako and Makuliro are already on remand after at Kitalya Prison until October 15 after they appeared in court on Friday last week.
