KAMPALA-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: President Museveni has said three “pigs” are believed to be behind the Komamboga blast in which one person died and five others injured on Saturday night.
“It seems to be a terrorist act but we shall get the perpetrators,” Museveni said on Sunday morning via tweeter.
Museveni vowed “we shall defeat this criminality like we have defeated all the other criminality committed by the pigs who don’t respect life.”
Museveni said that he has been briefed that three people came and left a package in polythene bag (kaveera) which later on exploded, killing one person and injuring five others.
He said Police Specialists were scouring the scene and investigating the whole incident and would offer more information and guidelines on vigilance.
A blast went off at Pork Joint in Kwata zone, Komamboga. Slightly after 9 pm. On October 14, the United Kingdom (UK) warned of an imminent terror attack in Uganda.
On July 11, 2010 explosions hit Uganda after a militant Islamist group, Al-Shabab, attacked bars at Lugogo and Kabalagala, killing over 75 people in a twin-bombing as hundreds watched a football World Cup final match.
