KAYUNGA-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: As the situation deteriorates, at least 48 poling agents of Kayunga district LCV candidate Harriet have been arrested along an MP, mayor and a Daily Monitor journalist.

Reporters in Kayunga say that security agents waylaid the polling officials of Nakwedde and confiscated their appointment letters and in a flash of seconds a team of police arrived and arrested the same group claiming they had entered Kayunga illegally without purpose.

And separately, a video showed Nakwedde standing alone pleading with police officers to let her distribute letters for polling agents.

“You are not allowed to move at this time,” one police officer retorted.
