Police in Nakasongola is investigating circumstances under which a bodaboda rider was allegedly killed at pastor Jackson Ssenyongas farm .
Vicent Kato 27, who was a former casual labourer at Ssenyonga’s Kyadyanga farm in Kyankonwa parish Kakooge sub county in Nakasongola district was speared to death in yet to be known circumstances.
His wife, Joan Nantongo said; “my husband told me on his fateful day that he had got a passenger to that place and would use that chance to demand for his unpaid money, the next morning I heard that he had been speared to death”.
Kato was killed by people on this farm and police has sofar arrested two arrow guards.This happened on the 19th of February, 2023.
But Kato’s twin brother, Wasswa insisits that his fallen brother could have been sacrificed saying he was speared at the neck and all blood was corrected to unknown destination.
The widow and Kato’s family are now calling for president Museveni and government intervention saying the pastor and his people are aloof.
” The pastor has not stood with us. He is simply allogant. He sent us his minder called Ssozi. Ssozi said he can only give us 200,000/_ that our son is dead and will never come back. Imagine such to come from people who pupport to be God’s people. If they can extend help to distant people what’s wrong with standing with us , the widow and opharns?”
Nantongo says she is now struggling with two young boys one in baby class and another in top class moreover in a rented muzigo of 20,000 / but which she now can’t afford.
Meanwhile the owner of the motorcycle which the late was riding Robert Ssejjemba is also biter that police has since held it as investigation s ensue.
He says it’s now two weeks and it was his source of livelihood.
The Savannah region police spokesman Patrick Lule said he was going to follow up on the matter and get details when we contacted him from his Luweero office.
Efforts to get a fair comment from pastor Jackson Ssenyonga were still fruit less as his usual cell was going unanswered.
