NRM entrepreneurship boss Rukaari set to address Uganda-UK trade summit in London

KAMPALA: The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Entrepreneurship League chairman, Dr Robert Mwesigwa Rukaari, is set to address a top trade summit slated to take place in the United Kingdom.

According to the programme seen by this website, Rukaari will address the more than 300 delegates during the 13th Uganda-UK Trade Summit which will take place on September 8, 2023, at Tower Bridge, London, United Kingdom.

The theme of the summit will be, “Unlocking Trade, Investment, and Export Potential.”

Dr Rukaari who is also the MP for Mbarara City North is known for his passion for business, investment, entrepreneurship and innovation.

The summit will provide a platform as a buyer-seller trade summit to enhance offtake from the Ugandan agricultural industry to markets in the UK, Europe, the Commonwealth and provide market opportunities for investment in key priority sectors, including oil, gas and minerals, agriculture (Agri-tech), infrastructure, manufacturing, renewable energy, tourism, ICT, banking and financial services.

“We firmly believe in the importance of regional and continental integration and constantly seek to develop business relationships with the United Kingdom and Europe to allow investors to access the vast opportunities in Uganda, SADC and East Africa,” Dr Rukaari said recently.

Others who will attend the summit include officials from Uganda Revenue Authority, NSSF, IGG’s office, Parliament and the private sector.
