On the day the child was supposed to be taken for DNA testing, the mother took him to hospital in critical condition and later died causing suspicion.

Police in Kampala is holding Ms. Jolin Dusabe Mutesi 40, a mother of five, on suspicion of killing her 2-year-old child who was going to be subjected to DNA testing the day he died.
He died on Wednesday, April 2, under unclear circumstances because while the mother said he fellow from the first floor of the house through the window, police found the said window permanently closed.
Mutesi and the deceased identified as Nganwa Rugari 2, are resident of Mutungo Zone 8 in Nakawa Division, Kampala.
Police authorities say the mother took the child to Kitintale hospital on April 1st saying he fell from the building and a CT scan was recommended but he died the following day.
His death came at a time when the family was locked in a divorce legal process in Kampala High Court , family division after the husband, Mr Chris Rugari, a diplomat accuse Mutesi of infidelity.
In 2023 three of their children were subjected to DNA test and only one was confirmed a biological product of Mr Rugari. Court then ordered for the testing of the last two , a twelve months sister and the late who died on the day the tests were to be conducted leaving questions.
Kampala police spokesman Patrick Onyango said initial examination never found any physical harm, bruise or wound signs on the child’s body.
Detectives are now investigating whether the child was killed to cover up or delay the paternity tests or something .
