Gen. Katumba Wamala joins Mengo in blood donation drive

Kampala. The minister for works and transport Gen. Katumba Wamala has joined  Buganda kingdom and asked Ugandans to donate blood to help those who require it.

Katumba was speaking shortly after donating blood for the last time in his life at Bulange Mengo on Tuesday. He said he was ending to donate blood as he knocks 65 years which is the recommended age to end blood donations.

“It’s upon everyone to take up the mantle from where we have ended,” Gen. Katumba said.

Mayiga and Gen. Katumba were speaking from Bulange on Tuesday where Buganda Foundation organized a blood donating drive that started on Monday and ends on Wednesday.
