KITEEZI : M7 fires KCCA Top Bosse

PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has fired KCCA executive director Ms Dorothy Kisaka, her Deputy ingneer David Luyimbazi and public healthy director Mr Daniel Okello.

The president has also allegedly instructed the police CID department and other criminal agencies to institute criminal charges against the sacked bosses.

According to very reliable sources, the presidential move stems from major findings in the recent IGG report which is said to be implicating those individuals.

The Kiteezi land fill collapsed recently killing over 35 people and displacing many others.
Investigations so far by IGG, police and other relevant bodies indicate that KCCA top bosses acted with gloss negligence leading to the catastrophe.

The deputy press secretary to the president, Hajj Kirunda and a State House tweet (X) both confirmed the developments and alleged more details later.

Immediately after the incident, the Lord mayor Hajj Erias Lukwago accused the top leadership of KCCA technical wing saying the disaster was an accident in waiting.

As the IGG’s office was investigating, other bodies notably the State House Anti Corruption Unit headed by Brig Gen Henry Isoke is equally carrying out major investigations with in KCCA.

A reliable source with in the State House Unit told this writer that their activities in KCCA are broader .

The public is waiting to know whether the presidential sacking have also leaned on the State House Unit’s works with in KCCA.
