A 32 year old man in Kisoro District has ended his life by hanging, despite attempts by residents and the police to dissuade him from the act.
The deceased according to Elly Maate the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson has been identified as Emmanuel Ziragora a resident of Karambi village Gasovu parish Nyarusiza Sub County in Kisoro district.
Maate told the press in a statement that the deceased had domestic problems and has been telling people that he would commit suicide.
“The matter was reported at Chahi police for intervening but when Police summoned him, he instead ran away” said Maate.
On the morning of Saturday April 24th 2021, Ziragora was found dead, dangling on a rope in his bedroom. His wife was not around.
Maate adds that the body was discovered by children he was staying with.
The police rushed to the scene, confirmed the incident and registered the case at Nyarusiza under reference number SD 04/24/04/2021.
