KAMPALA-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: Kampala MInister Minsa Kabanda has announced that COVID-19 vaccination will resume on Monday (tomorrow) throughout the five divisions forming the city.

 She called upon the people of Kampala to visit the 32 vaccination centres where medical teams will be ready in the morning..

“Vaccination offers strong protection against the deadly virus. Take all the required doses of the vaccine to build full immunity,” Kabanda wrote on her twitter handle on Sunday.

In Nakwa division vaccination will take place at Bukoto HCIII, Naguru Hospital, Kyambogo University, Mbuya Military HC, Butabika Hospital, Luzira Prisons and KIswa Health Centre III.

Last week Norway donated a consignment of 286,080 dozes of the controversial Astra Zenac vaccines to Uganda, only two months after it was banned in their own country. China also donated at least 300.000 doses of covid19 vaccines. Uganda has only vaccinated less than 1.2million Ugandans although it targets 21m people. Government hasn’t bought a single vaccine.
