LUWERO-UGANDA/NEWSDAY: A self proclaimed Princess Bwanga has been arrested in Luweero District where she had posed as an operative working with State House Anti Corruption Unit. (SH-ACU).

She was arrested and spent Thursday night at a police post in Kikyusa, Luwero before being transferred to Kampala where she is currently detained. Bwanga goes around calling herself a princess but she belongs to no known lineage of Buganda’s royal family.

It is alleged Bwanga had been tormenting residents of Kikyusa, taking their land and threatening them boasting she was “a big name working” with Col Edith Nakalema who heads the SH-ACU.

Col Nakalema confirmed Bwanga’s arrest.

“She has been arrested”, Col Nakalema said.

Note: The earlier version of this article had indicated Bwanga was a Princess, which is not the case. We regret the error.
