NRM’s Namayanja, Nekesa comb Wakiso to evaluate manifesto implementation

WAKISO: The ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) secretariat has dispatched top officials to Wakiso district where they are evaluation steps being taken to implement the party manifesto.

The officials are led the Deputy Secretary General, Rose Namayanja and accompanied by the National Treasurer Barbara Oundo Nekesa together with the NRM Central Executive Committee member for central region Godfrey Kiwanda.

The aim of the tour is to carry out mobilisation and research “in a bid to engage the communities on what they want the party to prioritise.”

“The Wakiso tour started on Tuesday with the Namayanja team holding meetings at New Life Resort, Kakiri Town Council in Busiro North Constituency,” the party said, adding: “The purpose is to discuss the impact of government programs within communities and create a platform for Information sharing.”

Namayanja said she was hopeful the manifesto was being implemented successfully.

“Let us do away with cliques within the NRM and focus on the development of our area. Let us work as a team and avoid divisions within ourselves. Let us renew ourselves and commit to our mighty party,” Namayanja said.

While in Nansana Municipality, she said as a responsible political party, they recognize the importance of actively involving party structures and citizens in meaningful dialogue.

“It is through these engagements that we can better understand the challenges faced by our people and work towards finding effective solutions.”

She concluded that, “we can openly discuss issues affecting Ugandans and ensure that their voices are heard. We firmly believe that together, we can build a stronger and more prosperous nation for all.”
