Kato Lubwama laid to rest at Nkozi

NKOZI. Former Lubaga South MP Kato Lubwama was laid to rest at his home ground in Nkozi on Wednesday.

Hundreds of mourners attended the burial ceremony of Paul Kato Lubwama, a celebrated actor.

Several government officials and politicians were present with works Minister Gen Katumba Wamala as chief mourner. National Unity Platform President Robert Kyagulanyi and several of his Party members were present.

Kato Lubwama Paul  was born on 16 September 1970. He died on 8 June 2023 and was a celebrated Ugandan actor, comedian, musician and politician. He gained popularity for his acting and comedy performances in Uganda’s entertainment industry before transitioning into politics

Kato died on 8 June 2023 due to a heart attack, he had previously had a number of health complications and had been often flown out of the country for better medical attention. He was buried on 14 June in Nkozi.
