Uganda held its General elections on 14 January 2021 to elect the President and the Members of Parliament.

The Electoral Commission announced Incumbent President Yoweri Museveni who has ruled the country since 1986, as the winner with 6,042,898 votes (58.64%) and Bobi Wine 3,631,437 (35.08%) of the votes although the US State Department qualified the electoral process as “fundamentally flawed”.

Organisers of the swearing-in ceremony said that Akon is coming with at least 12 American celebrities. These were not named. But sources said former NFL Players and some cast members of the Real Housewives of Atlanta would accompany Akon. Actress Porsha Dyanne Williams, former NFL Players Israel Idonije, Andre Lamont Johnson, David Young are some names expected, according to sources.
