Meanwhile Mr Balondemu has filed a civil suit against the Attorney general and the Korean investor demanding a Ugandan shillings,20 billion compasation for criminal charges against him but which courts dismissed recently saying they were malicious.

According to court documents stumped by Mr Simon Kintu Zirintuusa the civil court deputy registrar, the defants have 15 days to file their defense.

As counsel Balondemu moves to drag Uganda government and the Investor to court, Security agencies have run to the office of the DPP and courts and have already secured court summons to reinstate the dropped charges.

” The first dismissal does not mean that such cases cannot be brought back. Infact court issued fresh summons against Mr Balondemu and others because all evidence and proof of the offenses are available” said an investigator from State House Anti Corruption Unit yesterday.

Balondemu and others were on October 17,2023 arrested in a joint operation of State House Anti Corruption Unit, Uganda police and other departments on cases of obtaining money by false pretense.

It was alleged that between March and November 2023, Balondemu and others recieved billions of money from Hyun UK Kim among others amounting to over 2.3 billions in Uganda currency.

But court at City Hall headed by grade one magistrate, Rehema Nassozi Ssebowa has since dismissed the case after proscecution failed to adduce evidence.

Another court at Buganda road had also dismissed related charges for lack of evidence.
