But the long arm of the law will not rest until full accountability is realized.

It’s under the search for openness and fight against graft that the State House Anti corruption unit working with Uganda police and office of the DPP that the Busia district LC v , Mr Stephen Mugeni Wasike was arrested after the law enforcements got wind of the alleged crime.

He was arraigned before the Busia Chief Magistrate Court on charges of Stealing From a Motor Vehicle.

He denied the said charges and was been remanded until 08/05/2025.

During the court session, it was alleged that on 8th March 2025, Stephen Mugeni Wasike, at Busia District Local Government parking yard in Busia District, stole motor vehicle parts including, an engine and a Gear box from motor vehicle registration number UAK 827Z Toyota FJHilux double Cabin.

The vehicle belonged to Busia District Local Government and items stolen were valued at approximately Ugx 30M. Watch this space
